After done configuration and customization,

1. Read What is responsible for my Joomla! website performance?
2. Activate Production mode by following Development and Production Modes 
3. Recompile CSS by following instructions below:
   1. Navigate to Components -> Gantry 5 Themes -> Default Theme in the left menu.
      
   2. Click on Styles tab and then click on the Recompile CSS button.
